Environmental Econometrics with Time Series and Spatial Data

Special Courses

Course description

A lot of data in environmental economics comes as time series, so it is observed at recurring points in time, or it is spatially dependent, which means that outcomes are influenced by neighboring units. Mastering the appropriate quantitative methods is vital for understanding complex environmental and climate-economic interactions. The Advanced Training Module is offered as part of the ECO-N qualification programme for PhD researchers and early-career scientists.

Participants will learn about the econometric methods for dealing with time series and spatial data, applied to real-world environmental settings. The module will combine theoretical concepts with hands-on applications implemented in Stata, including room for discussion and practical problem-solving.
